The Holy Cross Convent School is located in Brooklyn, a suburb near the harbor of Cape Town. It is a Primary School for children, aged between 4 and 13 years (Grade 0 - Grade 7). The school is independent and a member of ISASA, the Independent Schools Association of South Africa.

All relevant subjects / learning areas according to the requirements of the WCED (Western Cape Education Department) are taught plus IsiXhosa and Portuguese.

The school has a well-equipped computer Lab, a library, music facilities and a school hall. It has a large soccer field, netball courts and pleasant play areas both for the Pre and Primary School.

Religious Education and faith sharing is a vital part of the life and outreach of the whole school. Religious Education is taught by the teachers and by Sr Agatha, Sr Lauda and Sr Eileen. The weekly school-mass at Our Lady of the Assumption with parish priest Fr Stanley Botha, helps to enrich the children's spirituality.

The school's principal is Sr Francis Cooper. She is assisted by her school management team, that includes Mrs Nancy Will, Mrs Carol DuPlessis, Sr Agatha & Sr Eileen.
